What is your idea of happiness?
The Happiest country in the world
Happiness is a mental wellbeing characterized by positive or pleasant emotions and joy. More people tried to answer questions about what happiness is and how we might achieve. If somebody would ask now: what makes you happy? perhaps some of us will say that a vacation, a new car, more money, a child or to be with the persons we love. Is very difficult to find the right words to describe the happiness. Denis de Rougemont said that happiness is not about "to have", is about "to be"; happiness can not be bought. I consider that to be truly happy we must avoid negative people, we must say nice words, to love, do not take everything in tragic, to have less expectations from other people and more from us, to be surrounded by people with whom we feel good. I think that all this things will make us better and happier.
ReplyDeleteWhen I think to the world happiness I realize that should be a mental or emotional state of well-being for everybody. In the past years, happiness had a strong connection with religion. Over the years the scientists and philosophers created lots of theories and reached at the idea that happiness is composed from other essential things as: biological, psychological, religious and philosophical approaches. All these approaches compose the human spirit. I think, nowadays, these things become to be changed by another approach which is represented by money. We must recognize that it create us a state of well-being. I sometimes realize that we are on the wrong way.
ReplyDeleteNot necessarily money brings happiness in this days, there are a lot of rich people that aren't happy, but money helps, because nowadays we can't do nothing without money.
DeleteAlex, you cannot use two negations in one sentence: "we can't do anything without money" (without, can't - are the two negative words.

ReplyDeleteCan anyone reply to Alina? Do you agree or disagree with her?
DeleteThis is a complex concept views, because i agree with people who say ''Money don't bring you happiness'' , but I agree to with that people who say ''No money, no happiness''. you can have lot of money if you don't have family, friends and health, because this ''things'' bring you the real happiness. With money you can't buy real friends and family. So money don't bring you happiness in it self. In poor countries people are not so happy than in the rich counties, because they can have lovely family, real friends and health if they don't have enough money to ensure the good standard of living. I think happiness it depends on how much money you get every month, and whom are surrounding with.
ReplyDeleteI found something cute, which has a connection with this subject. I hope you like it http://www.kudika.ro/articol/Virale/31714/video-ce-face-aceasta-fetita-dupa-10-secunde-de-plans-este-incredibil-trebuie-sa-vezi.html?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=postare&utm_campaign=FB%2Bkanald
ReplyDeleteHappiness is a powerful word because it contains not just only one feeling. I mean that happiness is not "full" without pain, here is the explanation: If our lifes are only pink, and offer us everything we want, we are not able to feel the real sence of happiness. We need to see the dark side and after we will be able to bee happy. The article spoke about the fact that rich people are much happier than poor people. A long period of time i used to think that this statement is false, but when i see the standards of living i say it is true.
ReplyDeleteOf course that economic status matters, but it doesn’t have to deprive us from happines. The happiness is not the same for everyone. Everybody understand it different. But nowdays it thinks that money can make us happy because you can buy everything you want, you can go everywere you like, you can do everything you dream of. But having money, having a highes economic status can be a trap by making you wanting more and more and never have enough. For me, happiness is a choice. Every morning I wake up and I choose to be gratefull for what I have, for my family, my friends and even for my enemy because they make me strong. So…I encourage everyone to choose hppines :P
ReplyDeleteThe phrase "money does not bring happiness" to me sounds like a cliché. Well, I believe that to be happy we need to know first what is happiness. If we have money, but we are sick, we say that we are not happy. If we have family and friends, but we don't have money we also say that we are not happy. So something is missing. I think in both ways we need optimism. Whether or not we have all these things, you have to realize that all is fleeting .. both money and family, friends, house or job. We must be thankful for what we have. Society today form new models, advanced technologies, products and new ideals and makes us believe that we need all of them. No! I think we should open our eyes and see the true values, and I repeat, to be thankful for what we have, which is significance to be optimistic.
ReplyDeleteI think happiness is something that needs to be a result of other small things: friends & family, money, social status, mental status, knowledge and education.
ReplyDeleteIn order for someone to be happy there is a need of a small amount of the above, all these could make a person complete even though they might be missing something. Everyone is missing something, but they try to make the best of what they have and live with it. Happiness is state of the mind, which can be achieved with small attentions, gifts, kind words, gestures, social events...Many people don't need too much to be happy, a loving family and the possibility to educate the family members,as well as to feed them and to have a job that allows the person to pay for the necessities of their homes is enough for them to be happy. Many others have less and can also be happy. I think that this is different from various points of view, what makes me happy could be too much/ or not enough for others to be happy.
Economic status is also a key role in every person's happiness specially nowadays when everything is centered around money and power.
Happiness is a complex concept and can mean many different things to every person. We are all different, so what makes one person happy may not make another happy. But also, is something everyone wants to have. You may be successful and have a lot of money, but without happiness it will be meaningless. On one side, I can't deny the fact that money is a thing that helps making people happier. Unfortunately, in nowadays economic status matters, to have a better life.On the other side, I also saw poor people but happy. I think that those people know how to appreciate life, they learnt how to enjoy what they already have. Happiness is what you see and do, it lives inside you, you can accept it or deny it.All in a nutshell, I would say that happiness is a decision. Your happiness is your decision to make, to enjoy small things, like your family and friends, your healthy, everything.
ReplyDeleteHappiness is defined and felt different for each individual. Some people see happiness in money, other in love, health, religion and so on.
ReplyDeleteI think that many people are not happy because they think too much of themselves, what they lack instead of being satisfied with what they have.
For me happiness is when I'm content with myself, content with everything I have and when people I love are satisfied.
If you stay all your life to think about what you're missing you will never be happy.
Be content and enjoy what you got in your life and you will be happy.
