In a world of international business requires a language that can be understood by everyone. This language became English. Because it is easier than many languages and is spoken by a highly developed countries it is used in meetings of managers of companies in different countries and in the field of IT. Whether you want to become a translator or simply tend to find you a job in a multinational company, in government or non-governmental organizations, in diplomacy and international relations, you need English to communicate. Most professional jobs require a good level in English – think how impressive "excellent level in English" will look on your CV. Business and commerce are increasingly driven by international trade and if you are going to grow in your job you need to be able to follow this trend. 3. This article amazed me. It has never crossed my mind an idea like this. After I read the article and the report I realized how the grammar’s languages can affect our future, especially when we refer to future tenses. It is very interesting that a language affect us financial and our health. If I think to the article title “speaking English can make you poor when you retire”, I could say disappointed that I am an English speaker. Nowadays, it is a strong point to speak English, especially for me, if I want to obtain a job abroad. Beside this, if I think to Romanian language, it has more future tenses than English. Now, could I have a conclusion? Does Romanian language make us poorer then English? This thing amusing me but at the same time makes me thinking about what language makes us richer.

  4. If a person can manage to speak fluently in front of a unknown person, this is a big thing. It is very important because, when we decide to leave our country, (Romania in our case) we must be able to mantain a conversation with strangers. This thing shows a lot about a person's intelect. We are able to say that that person had studyed a lot to learn a new language, but also some of the people managed to learn english from cartoons or, musig or videogames. In my opinion this way is the best because the new words stay in our minds forever. From this article i have understand that some particular tense can help us save money. This thing happens because we imagine that this is a plan for the future and we have time to save money for that plan.

  7. English is known as an international language and I think it is very important to speak English well because as future economist it has to be like our second language. I speak better another foreign language that English, but we have to make an effort to know as well as possible English too, because it is the second most spoken language in the world, after Mandarin, of course. I consider a great advantage if you know English because you can have an extra bonus when you are looking for a job, or even for a promotion at work.
About the article, it is very interesting and surprising also, when you realize that even the grammar of the language you speak can influence you, and you can also save money in some way.

  8. Behavioural economics speaking English is a ‘door opener’ in what concerns my future career: English language has proved to be the international language of business, trade, intercultural exchanges and so on. It will be easy for me to establish connections with foreign colleagues and to talk about the development of Accounting technologies. I will be able to get a job more easy thanks to my skills in English language.
In which regards the article, I have to agree with professor Keith Chen in one aspect: using the present tense frequently it will empower your thoughts; you will be focused on the present and it will enable you to act now and not to postpone your actions so you will have a positive attitude towards yourself and your life.

  9. To be bilingual helps you to be able to make split second decisions because your mind is trained. In the article is stated that English as a language is very rich because it has Future Tense, and with it one can express his or herself better than in Chinese for example. The knowledge of the English language is an investment for the future ; it is necessary when we travel to a foreign country, it is important to be able to read a book in the original language in which it has been written, because we can understand it better, the same theory can be applied to being able to view a movie without voiceover or subtitles, it can be helpful in a job interview outside the country and also it can “come very handy” when you are sent abroad as a representative of your company and so on.

  12. One of the primary benefits of learning English is that it is often considered the language of global business. The international business community often uses it for communication, even among people who do not speak the same native language. Speaking and understanding English can let a person more easily communicate with others and find more job opportunities not only in his or her home country, but around the world as well.
