A tiny challenge for the beginning of the new year

Welcome to school again and welcome to university to sophomores! This is a very simple story but a challenge for me (trying to apply a new tool, i.e.the gapped text) and for you to warm up or break the ice, whichever way you prefer. Let's see who is the first to fill in the gaps with the words given. You can hide the words or not and then check your answers:

  1. I found easily all 8 words. This is a lesson for everyone, we need to be carefull not to become greedy because we always have to lose because of that.

  3. Interesting story and also very true. The man saw that he grew rich by selling his eggs so he wanted all the gold at once but he lost everything. In conclusion, don´t be greedy because you may lose everything.

  4. The order of the words is: nest, glittering, lead, gold, grew, greedy, killed and overreaches.
As the story "says" greed is overreaching it self so if we have the chance to become rich sometimes we have to remember the story and not to give to the greed the chance to overreach.

  5. I found the order of the words...it is a very interesting story and in our life we can see it every day, because most of the people use it.

  6. The order is: nest, glittering, lead, gold, grew, greedy, killed and overreaches. In so many situations people forget where they started and how it was before getting rich. And once they got something, they want more and more, becoming greedy.
