The two little mice

1. This is a farewell story for second year students. I told it to some of them in a more concise form during our last class in December.

For 1st year students, this is an example of storytelling for your final oral interview.

All of you can share here what you have learnt from it.

Finally, I hope we will keep in touch and you will return here to "brush up" your English. Communication is important!

  1. Very interesting,i like the story and the story creator too. Every student should creat their own story.

  2. Very sad! I think we should value more the where we live! The people, friends, family and everything that surround us.

  3. Poor little mouse...
This is a sad story from which we have much to learn. We must be satisfied with what we have and give thanks to God.

  4. I rimember this story.Yes, you told us ...I rimember because I was very sad in that day..because I had some problems and I drew some conclusions in that day. One of my conclusions was:"AlWAYS FIGHT!DON`T GIVE UP EVER!"

  5. This is a short and very comprehensive story. This is true to keep your familiar way not to deviate from it. You can meet with unknown and dangerous things. So a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. You better keep your own way. You can’t find anything more interesting.

  6. This story has two teachings: 1. Don't give up the well known path for an unknown one; 2. If you want a change in your life you should go for it, BUT NEVER GIVE UP just because it's hard to succed. Even the unknown can be your "friend" and you can make it help you. The conclusion "There's no place like home" is always true; no matter which path you take and which you leave, no matter what kind of decisions you make, HOME is always the safest place in the world.

  7. Interesting story, and that´s true ¨there´s no place like home¨, even if you have a better situation in other place or you think you´ll have it, it will never be like home. You should never give up friends and family for things that possibly you´ll never get.

  8. This is a very sad story and if I think better this kind of problems could happen to anyone, in real life not only to the animals, but to the people as well. We should have more consideration and love to the people and animals, too as long as they are living not after they died.

  9. Nice story! It wasn't very sad.. In my opinion you should explore and take risks in order to know and discover more things. In this case a mouse lost his life, but maybe in another situation the mice discovered o tip of cheese that cured mouse cancer.. :)

    1. I agree with you Clau, because we can't stay in the same place and not doing something to discover new possibilities. It's better to try something and regret it ,than never try and remain with the question "What if?"

  10. As my colleagues expressed their opinion upon the story, I would like to leave a comment about the worry in killing the meaningful communication.
Having the internet and all the digital tools at our finger tips is an incredible gift of the century we're living in. However, we can fall into a trap which Einstein himself predicted it:
“I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots.”

  11. I think that in order to succeed in life, first of all, we shouldn't be satisfied with our condition, we have to see what's on the other side of the fence.
Second of all, if we're allready out of our comfort zone, we should't give up when things get rough.
I think the mouse made a mistake running back home. Now that he escaped with his life, he should have gone further away into the world! Maybe he would found a cheese factory or a cat free country...
